... and still champion, the Stalker Pro is the time everything radargun that is completely overkill for most applications but when needed nothing else can compare. Stalker lists it's ranges as follows:

So, when do you use this gun? First off, if you simply want the very best money can buy. Usually though, purchases have a more precise reason for needing this unit. For baseball scouting it's an excellent long range gun with an expanded keypad settings over it's little brother, The Stalker Sport. The keypads can control the type of object it will be clocking as well as speed ranges and distances. All these functions are available on the Stalker Sport but the Pro simply has more options.
Another useful feature is the dual reading back display which will show both the peak speed and track the object over the course of it's run. Still, that's and it's 3 year warranty are not enough to justify the cost for most users.
It's biggest advantage is the Ka band reading as opposed to the Sports K band. This is extremely useful in water and ice based applications for boats and snowmobiles. Water and the spray behind a watercraft will take a standard radar signal and refract it in all directions causing the gun the misread. The Ka band can compensate for this and give reliable reading in tough outdoor conditions.
Another important use for the gun is it's ability to time down to 1 MPH so slow moving vehicles like forklifts and other industrial machinery can be monitored.
For tennis the Pro is a must for on-court serve speed reads during a tournament. The Sport can time serves just as well in most tennis applications but during a match the Pro has one important feature. It has some control of the guns reset time between first and second serves. When a player serves a fault the gun will still read the serve and when the external displays at courtside reset, this can disturb a player begining his second serve motion. Being able to adjsut to a quick reset protects against this..
Finally the Pro is the do all gun for odd applications you normally wouldn't consider. Because of it's super fast acquistion time it's been used to track humming birds mating and to time lava flows. It's also the best unit to track human motion applications.
As with all Stalker products you must weigh the cost of accessories in the long term use of your gun but for some applications no other gun will suffice..
